Kegel Exercises Do they work?

Yes , These exercises after prostate surgery are very helpful for recovery of urinary control.


Kegels explained step by step:

  1st Exercise is:


Sit on a chair. Squeeze the penis as if to hold the urine. Hold the squeeze and count to 10. Repeat 3 times. And thrice a day.

  2nd Exercise is:


Squeeze the muscles of the Buttock. As if you are holding a coin in the buttock, squeezing the buttocks and preventing the coin from falling. Hold the squeeze and count to 10. Repeat 3 times. And thrice a day.

  3rd Exercise is:

Sit on the chair and put a pillow between the knees. Then squeeze the pillow between the knees. Hold the squeeze and count to 10. Repeat 3 times. And thrice a day.

Benefits: They make you tighter. They strengthen the pelvic muscles. They also control the bladder by negative feedback. So, they are helpful in Urinary incontinence.
